After starting with 7,000 members, it only took us one and a half years to reach 15,000! Where we started with 150 people at our events, we now host events with over 300 people — it really is a huge change.

When Lorenzo Panunzio started as an Ambassador in 2013 he had ambitious goals to grow the InterNations Rome Community by improving the quality of the events. Two years on and Rome is now one of the fastest growing InterNations Communities worldwide.

When people come to our events in Brisbane, I really want them to love it! I want to make people feel as though they are coming into my home to be with friends. Creating a welcoming environment for them is really important to me.

From the moment a member of the InterNations Brisbane Community accepts an invitation to attend one of her events, Ambassador Zina Toth starts to craft a memorable InterNations experience they won't forget.

In the Ambassador role, you really need someone with that extra ‘kick’. Someone who can read a crowd, who can step outside their comfort zone and still be a great event host even at the end of a long day of work. The former Ambassador saw that Fabrizio had the right personality to be a great fit for the role and for me as well — she could see we would be a great combination as an Ambassador team and she was right

In InterNations Nairobi, Akinyi ‘Grace’ Adongo and Fabrizio Bucci are proof that working together as part of a strong Ambassador team is key to building a strong InterNations Community.

I wanted to help people from abroad settle in and enjoy their experience in Uruguay. I wanted to help them get started and get involved with the country, the city and the local people. Being a local, I know a lot about where to go, what to do and where to get help for just about anything you might need in Montevideo and other parts of the country. This is why I joined.

With Ambassadors like Laura Lopez working hard to build the community, it’s easy to see why InterNations Montevideo is growing!

I took the position of Newcomers’ Ambassador because I wanted to try to be the friend I would have loved to have met when I first moved abroad.

During her time as InterNations Newcomers’ Ambassador, Anne-Carole Remy helped connect the diverse expatriate community in Singapore and supported members to get off to the best possible start in their new city!
