“Dust to Dust”: Mendelssohn Memorial Concert and Service

CorISTAnbul Chamber Choir presents a concert covering the choral series celebrating the diversity of nature by four great masters, namely, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Hindemith and Britten, all of whom lived in the 19th- and 20th-century Europe. It is thus our aim to give our audience an idea of the aesthetic outlook on nature by masters from different cultures in a span of a hundred years.

The concert day is to commemorate Mendelssohn’s death on this very day Protected content ago when he was only 38 years old: November 4, Protected content That is why, we’re going to open the concert with an organ piece by Mendelssohn played by our conductor and end the concert again with the composer's choral works.
