Newcomer... (Istanbul)

Merhaba! I currently live in Manchester, UK, and may be moving to Istanbul with my husband (who is from there) later this year. We are planning to visit Istanbul in May or early June for a week or two and I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to do some research into what my life would be like while I was there before making my final decision. Has anyone who has already made the move got any advice for me or can advise me of any ex pat groups or people who could perhaps meet us for a coffee while we are there to have a chat with me about things? I would really appreciate any help as I am feeling very nervous about the whole thing! Thank you in advance
