Freelance writing (Jamaica)

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to take freelance writing courses in Jamaica. I'd like to take them in Morant Bay(in St Thomas) but I'm open to other areas. Does anyone know of any? Also, I'm looking for a place in need of a volunteer. I'm an elementary school teacher who is in transition to career in writing. I'm also interested in being involved in learning and sharing Jamaican history and culture, so volunteering in this capacity would be great as well. If theres a need in teacher volunteering, its possible I can help out too. Any information you can provide is much appreciated.
