• Expats can feel undervalued. A recurring theme is limited respect for expats, low job security, and lower salaries for workers from developing countries.

• Belonging can be hard. Only 57% rate friendliness positively, and some Pakistanis describe occasional discrimination.

• Leisure and balance are limited. Culture and nightlife rate 58%, recreational sports 62%, and work-life balance just 46%, with overall happiness (58%) below the global average.

• Cleanliness and transport have gaps. Litter on the streets and limited public transport (43%) come up as everyday frustrations.

For Pakistanis, Jeddah offers safety, a strong economy, good healthcare, and an affordable, walkable life close to home. The trade-offs are job insecurity, limited leisure, and a sense that expats are undervalued. It rewards those focused on work and saving.
