moving to England - time frame - what to do when (London)

Hi everybody.

I am thinking about moving to England. I read in a forum that e.g. for registration it will take Protected content and only then can you have a bank account etc. And also other things seem quite complicated and time-consuming.

My situation is that I am originally from Germany, but currently registered in Belgium until the end of this year - by then I need to get registered somewhere else. Connected with that is having a health insurance.(?!)

So, I wondered what if I get a contract for a job or PhD for the beginning of next year, would that speed up certain things? And what do I do in what sequence when moving to England (flat, registration, job, health insurance, driving licence, bank account...)?

Advices would be appreciated.
