buying a second hand car in another EU country (Luxembourg)

Hi guys,

I would like to transfer my car from Italy to Luxembourg. Currently it is registered on my ex-fiancee, so I also need to arrange for the transfer of ownership. I was thinking that the most efficient way would be to do it as a purchase by an Luxembourg resident (myself) in Italy and register it directly here in Lux under my owership, in other words as any acquisition of a second hand car in another EU country. Do any of you have any experience with this? What steps to take? Which papers to obtain? etc..
