Adventures, Conversations, and Everything In Between: Events in May

Horseback riding, boat cruises, classic networking events ... members have been keeping busy this month. Discover some of the event highlights of May.

Networking Nights & Rooftop Respites

From stylish city venues to relaxed sunset vibes, InterNations Official Events are the perfect setting for easy conversations and effortless networking.

In Singapore, for example, the SG Official Networking Party on 8 May set the tone with a classy evening of mixing and mingling, where expats and locals alike shared stories over drinks in a lively setting.

For members in Bangkok, the theme was Smart, Sophisticated and Central for a night filled with live music, exclusive drink deals, and a dynamic crowd.

And in Kuala Lumpur, the Sunday Mojito event on 10 May invited members to wind down the weekend with good cocktails and even better conversation.

Taking socializing to new heights, members in Valencia were in for a laid-back Sunday afternoon: the Sunday Rooftop Tardeo event combined sea views, music, and a vibrant international crowd.

The Sunset Rooftop & Cocktails event in Seville, meanwhile, offered a more intimate setting, where golden-hour views and refreshing drinks created the perfect backdrop for new connections.

For those looking to connect through culture and cuisine, several events delivered memorable experiences.

In Nairobi, for instance, the official event on 12 May brought a touch of the Mediterranean to the city. Members were invited to dress the part and enjoy a lively evening of conversation and connection.

And in Panama City, Unwind on a Saturday Night combined a curated dining experience with live music and a vibrant after-party for a night full of flavor and energy.

Taco Tuesdays, Engineering Marvels & More

InterNations Activities offer a more personal way to connect — bringing members together through hobbies, shared passions, and meaningful experiences.

In Tokyo, the Japan Engineering, a Trip Back in Time activity invited members of the Science & Technology Group to explore the intersection of engineering and history on a unique day out. From the thrilling Shonan Monorail to centuries-old temples built without nails and more, the activity blended discovery, culture, and connection.

The Dubai City Socials Group, meanwhile, was in for a real treat in early May. The Horse Riding & BBQ & Board Games activity started with a gentle horse-riding experience suited for all levels, followed by a gourmet open-air BBQ and relaxed games in an elegant setting by the stables.

The Palm Beach City Explorers Group, too, had great plans with their Happy Hour Tiki Boat Fun Sunset Cruise. Starting with a casual happy hour on land before boarding, the sunset cruise offered scenic views and refreshing drinks — plus the chance to spot dolphins along the way.

An easy-going twist to socializing with margaritas, tacos, and plenty of good vibes could be found with the Dallas Bar & Lounge Group. Set in a casual, local-favorite spot, members could drop in, grab a drink, and connect over shared laughs at the Cinco De Drinko! activity — especially with Taco Tuesday deals adding to the fun.

Members of the Madrid Eastenders Group came together for a Stroll in Capricho Park and Photography Call. Blending elegant gardens, romantic landscapes, and historic touches, the walk through one of the city’s most enchanting hidden gems provided plenty of inspiration for photography, before rounding off the experience with a relaxed aperitivo nearby.

In London, attendees of the Hampton Court & Bushy Park activity, too, experienced a scenic walk through lush green spaces and royal history. Passing highlights like the palace gardens, woodland paths, and tranquil ponds, the outing combined gentle exploration with great company — with an optional pub stop at the end for those who wanted to continue the conversation.
