Our March Calendars Are Overflowing with Celebrations & Events!

In many of our communities, spring is knocking on our doors and bringing with it fun occasions to celebrate culture, tradition, and come together as one big global family. Let’s have a look at what’s been happening so far in March — and what upcoming events you won’t want to miss!

Inspiring Change & Shaping the Future — International Women’s Day

Friday, 8 March marked International Women’s Day. So, what better occasion for the Munich Just for Girls Group to come together and celebrate? They enjoyed the evening with tasty food inspired by the cuisines of Israel and the Middle East! Guessing from the photos and the lovely roses, it was a memorable evening for all.

On the same special day, the Oslo Women Only Group gathered to commemorate International Women’s Day with an after-work event. Attendees could enjoy meaningful conversations along with the delicious Izakaya-style food at one of Oslo’s best Japanese restaurants.

On 7 March, the London Book Group attended an event at LSE Library to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of The Women’s Library Reading Room. It’s the oldest and largest library in Britain devoted to the history of women’s campaigning and activism — what a great way to honor empowered women of literature!

In Atlanta, celebrations didn’t just last a day: all of March is Women’s History Month. For the occasion, the Joie de Vivre Group attended the Tea & Stories Event, where local female storytellers shared the tales of remarkable women who’d often been overlooked by history.

Cheers to St. Patrick: Uniting in Green!

On 7 March, the Stockholm City Trotters Group got together for a pre-St. Patrick’s Day event at an Irish Pub. Tasty burgers, refreshing beverages, and live music made for a great evening!

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City is a pretty big deal! A long-held tradition that first started in the 18th century, musicians, dancers, and a captivated audience transform Manhattan into a sea of green — and members of the New York Experiential Group were right in the thick of it this year!

Get Ready for Some Color — Happy Holi!

This time of year wouldn’t be complete without Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, love, and spring.

So, on the evening of 9 March, the London India Group dedicated one of their popular dinner events to celebrating Holi with some drinks, food, and vibrant flavors.

If you’re in Dallas on 23 March, don’t miss this event. Meet members of the Arts & Culture Group at the Dallas Festival of Colors — North Texas’ largest Holi party! Each year, it brings thousands of people together to promote inclusion and diversity at this Indian festival.

Want to try something different? How about Holi on a yacht! The New York Experiential Group is joining the Bollywood Style Holi Bash featuring DJ Dharak on the Hudson. Mark your calendar for 23 March and hurry: tickets are going fast!

Can’t make it to the boat? No worries, there’ll be another Festival of Colors on Governors Island, New York City on 6 April. Have fun together with the Themed Parties Group at this vibrant event.

How about Some Easter Fun?

If you’re in Copenhagen on 27 March, join the City Trotters Group to celebrate this year’s start of the Easter holidays. The relaxed get-together they’ve planned for after work sure sounds great to us.

And if you’d like to experience a Finnish tradition and are currently in Helsinki, be sure not to miss this Easter bonfire event on 30 March! The City & Outdoors Group will be there.
