Closure of Bars and Night clubs in Bahrain (Manama)

Hi,
Does anyone know whether the ban is now permanent or it will be lifted sooner or later because it has had a huge impact on the nightlife. I see only empty bars over and over and a few good friends I met will be lost forever, I won't even get the visa to visit their countries.
I just want to know if this is temporary or the country is done with bars and night live entertainment for good. A Bahraini or Arab national friend can easily clarify this doubt.
