Life in Minsk...completely confused!Help!

Hi,
I have received a tempting job offer in Minsk. However, me and hubby are living in Dubai for 10 years now, so hope you'll understand, but we've got a bit "spoiled" by this lifestyle. Can you tell me how's life in Minsk in general (we've never been to any of Soviet republics ever). Like, is there an IKEA for example, how's the fun, are there stuff to be seen, other than tourist spots? Is there a significant expat community etc. Bring it on please, what ever comes to your mind. We have to make a decision pretty fast. Thank ya all
