Moscow's IN community

When I joined Moscow's Internations community, a friend of mine from NZ and an expat in Moscow warned me that "Moscow's IN unlike other IN communities is all about making money. While other communities are into socializing and getting to know people, Moscow's internations is a for-profit enteprize which charges exuberant fees just for about everything : a walk in a park, a movie outing, a trip. Perhaps, it is a time to form a true expat community within IN for socializing and not for promoters of restaurants, bars, clubs?
