Potential Move to Muscat

Hi guys

I'm possibly moving to Oman for a 2 year project assignment for BP. Awaiting visa before anything is definite but I thought I would at least seek some advice of what life is like there for singles. I have received mixed comments especially from women but I want to keep an open mind and think that there has to be lots of expats there who are in the same place as me.
I am also an internations member here in Houston, TX where I reside and do attend lots of events and see from looking at your events site you have events as well that look just as fun.
