Look outside your window and take a deep breath. Soak in the sun in the mornings and let the gentle tropical air brush your hair in the evening. The season is changing as the Delhi chill bids us a final adieu just to make way for the hash sun baked blows.
As we welcome the un-welcomed summer and look back on the heavy party months gone by, our body urges us to cleanse, detoxify and freshen up. In India they have found a great way of doing just the same and they even have a religious twist to it as they would for everything, just to make it more colourful and festive.
Navratra’s, meaning 9 days of the lunar calendar starting from a no moon leading to full moon ( this year from 16th – 23rd March ) is a time to concentrate on our energy to good eating. At Indian Accent, The Manor, Chef Manish has taken this opportunity to create a 3 course meal (dinner or lunch) to add fun and flavour to food meant for fasting. It is gluten free, no rice, onion, garlic, meat protein or alcohol….. thinking, how boring!!!! Actually, on the contrary it is great, speaking through personal experience of tasting, it is a complete nutritious meal with a glass of shikanjvi to compliment it.
The Indian Accent take on the fun part of it is an evening of great music, DJ Aar with his electronic music with live Indian classical ragas by Anjana Ghoshal on our on going Fusion Saturdays on 20th March. A perfect evening of fusion music composed in front of you with brilliant contemporary Indian meal.
If nothing else, the subtle festive décor will surely set you for the season. And if you are not into the healthy thing, we have our a la carte menu on too.
So hope to see you at Indian Accent.
