New Delhi Restaurants and Grocery

Thanks to all who responded to my previous thread on entertainment. My family does not like big surprises, not that we have to have International standards in all things, but again, we'd like to know what we're getting into before we commit.

Now I would like to inquire about restaurants and grocers in Delhi. Are there grocery stores around that city? Is there much organic food available? Where in the city are they located? Do most folks buy from local merchants? Anything not readily available? Is there a Japanese grocery?

Are there interesting restaurants? Are there various ethnic neighborhood restaurants? Where are they located (hotels only)? Is sushi available? What is an average cost for a meal for two exclusive of alcohol?

Any other advice or wisdom on food?
