The Petroushka Ball is the primary fundraising event for the Russian Children’s Welfare Society ( Protected content ). What began in Protected content a small tea dance designed to raise money for Russian children has grown into one of New York’s most important Russian-American events, attended by over Protected content representing the business, artistic and diplomatic elite. Past Petroushka Ball events featured leading soloists of the Metropolitan Opera, the American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Bolshoi Theater, and other prominent companies.
