affordable room in manhattan-is there any chance? (New York)

Dear all,

Beginning July 2nd until August 8th I will be working in New York. With regard to this I am looking for an affordable accommodation in Manhattan. Now, I have noticed that it is not easy to find something, but I leave nothing undone.

Anyway, I have no contact to people who live in New York, I would be grateful for every tip finding an accommodation. Maybe you know anybody who wants to rent his/her room for this time?!
