Ready for the clean crisp Fall weather in NY? If you are in the NYC/NJ metro area and are looking to get away for the day on a hike I have one coming up in New Paltz, on Saturday, Sept 27. You're invited to join our merry band of fun seekers and social adventurers.
Many have said they missed hiking or getting into the outdoors when they moved here to NYC. Well the mountains are closer than you think and are accessible by public transportation! Massive bleach white conglomerate and shattered rock formations with crevices dropping away hundreds of feet, this adventure is one of sight and experience. Nearby Mohonk House, Road to Wellville filmed there, and it is world famous for its multi pitch rock climbing.
From Port Authority you can catch a ride to New Paltz, you can drive, or car pool. Either way the hills are alive with the sound of Fall and this is where you can enjoy the 'colors of the wind'. Details and registration is at Protected content . This is a Powermastery group outdoor get together and hike. There is no charge for the event.
Casual paced hike on real trail. Slight hills. 6 miles. Bring 2+ liters hydration, lunch, snack, hiking shoes, warm layer, and positive attitude. Novices are welcome. We stop by the local ever popular New Paltz micro brew after hike before heading home. Here you can munch and brew while unwinding and connecting with a fun crowd you've made new friends with throughout the day.
