Moving to Palmdale

Palmdale is a fast growing city with a lot of opportunities for people looking to start a new life. Land is relatively inexpensive and tax-breaks are offered to companies relocating to the city so that residents do not have to rely on employment prospects in the Los Angeles basin. The Palmdale motto is “A Place to Call Home”, which is a fitting tag-line. As English is the primary language in Palmdale, it isn’t as difficult to arrange moving there as it would be if you were relocating to a country with a less widely spoken language. There are vast cultural differences between English-speaking countries, however, so relocating to the US as an expatriate may still be a daunting endeavor. InterNations provides useful advice in our Expat Magazine, which is designed to help you adjust to your new living situation. Practical information on expat issues, such as culture shock, how to look for accommodation, finance related issues, insurance and repatriation, is readily available to help you adjust to your life abroad. Support and guidance is further available from InterNations members before you’ve even boarded a plane.
