French-Canadian French (Paris)

Hello all,

I am originally from Ottawa and am considering a move to Paris in 5 months or so. I speak French fluently. However, it is a “French-Canadian French”. I realize there are differences between the two, but I was wondering how easy it will be to adopt Parisian French? Or perhaps, how hard it may be?

I have heard mixed reviews, including being immediately scoffed at for speaking a slightly different variation of French.

I was wondering if there are any Canadian Francophones here, or if anyone here knows someone who is one, and might share what it is truly like?
