SmartSteps seeks for an international US law firm a legal assistant for the preparation of signing/closing, proofreading, review basic documents in due diligences, assistance for English translations, administrative support in transactional work, etc.

Due Diligence: Assist with preparation of report: Proofreading, Preparation of annexes (list of documents reviewed, etc.), Assembly of documents to be reviewed: Printing, collating, indexing and organization of documents received from client or company

File Management: Oversee small files: Coordination with clients for payment of invoices, annual accounts and timely filing and handling of documents necessary to maintain good standing

Closings: Assist with all aspects of closing including: Assist with contract drafting (proofing, turning documents, drafting from precedent), Maintain and organize all required closing documents, Organize and keep track of required signatures, Prepare and distribute closing sets

Other: Corporate research in EDGAR and other SEC databases for contract and filing precedent (e.g. 10-Ks, Stock Purchase Agreements), Prepare and coordinate bound volumes, including layout, logo, assembly of documents, Prepare and draft responses to Audit Letter Requests for French and US Auditors, Translate legal documents from French into English, Proofread English legal documents and client correspondence.

Assist US offices with coordination of various French formalities (notarization, apostille, filing, interpretation, stenography, etc.).

You will mainly be based at client’s offices. There will be overtime (paid) and travel to Switzerland.


The successful candidate must: be bilingual English/French, able to multitask, proficient with MS Office tools, work well under pressure. You have a college degree and a minimum of 3 years professional service experience. please email your CV to Protected content
