Moving to Paris - Visa Question

Hey everyone,

I'm an Australian looking to move to Paris, looking forward to meeting you guys sooner or later :)

At the moment I don't have a visa but I've been in Europe since the end of May. This means that my Tourist visa is running out for the Schengen area.

Can anyone give me some advise about the best way to extend my visa or what new visa I can apply for in France?

I know there is an Working Holiday visa which I can apply for back in Australia but I don't think I can apply for it whilst overseas.

Any help would be much appreciated. I didn't realise it would be this much of a hassle.
