InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Riga

Hello to all Americans in Riga! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Riga? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Riga which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Riga has more to offer than you might think. The Latvian capital is a seaport city known for its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site noted for the art nouveau buildings, its busy seaport which is one of the largest in the Baltics, and much more! With the network of buses, trams, and trolleybuses, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in one of the less central neighborhoods, such as Teika or Āgenskalns, which are less than a 20-minute ride away from Riga’s center.

Although Riga has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Riga, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
