Multi-entry business visa 180 days (Riyadh)

I'm on a Protected content multi-entry visa, maximum individual stay is 30 days.
The owner of the company I have partnered up with in Riyadh had the initial 30 day period extended for another 30 days. I now have to do a visa run to Bahrain, BUT he tells me he thinks my visa does not allow this, saying the multi-entry applies only within the 30 days....?
I am 99.9% sure I am able to return into Saudi as many times as I like within the Protected content validity of the visa.
Does anyone have anything up-to-date which may prove me wrong? Perhaps the fact that I've had a 30 day extension means I also have a final exit ?
