I was amazed how many like-minded expats there are in La Paz; it was great to get in touch with such a friendly group of people.
InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Santa Cruz
Hello to all Americans in Santa Cruz! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Santa Cruz? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Santa Cruz which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?
There’s no doubt about it: as a growing metropolis which retains its traditions, Santa Cruz will surprise you. The largest city in Bolivia is a tropical city known for not only being the most important business center in Bolivia and the unofficial “Sloth Capital of the World”, but also for its warm climate, exciting nightlife, nearby national parks, and much more! With the affordable bus services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the more residential areas such as Equipetrol or Sirari, for example, which are a 20 to 25-minute journey away from Santa Cruz’s center.
