General Info (Santiago de Chile)

Hi All,

My wife and I (and kids) are thinking of taking a sabbatical in the near future and were hoping to get some general information RE: moving to Chile and life there.. While Santiago is certainly an option, I love to get some more specific information on life/living in the Lakes Region.. Villarica, Pucon, etc.. Can anyone shed light on cost of living in Chile (ie; approx monthly budget for family of 4), importing house pets, etc..
