Homebrewing equipment (Santiago de Chile)

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for where to purchase some good, basic, home beer-brewing kits/equipment. Preferably something that would be good for a beginner, but will still produce good beer.
There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot available here in Chile, and from what I gather, I would have to purchase from North America and have it shipped here.
Is that what you guys have experienced, or am I just looking in the wrong places? Any tips, info or recommendations are very appreciated!
