moving to St. Petersburg. yes or no???

Hallo everybody,
my name is Elisabeth Hoppe and I am currently living in Amman/Jordan.
Next year my husband will be transferred and one of the possibilities would be ISt.Petersburg.
I have some questions about living in St. Petersburg and would appreciate if I could get some feedback from you to make the decision finding easier.
- We have a dog. Is there any problems with this?
-how do the expats live (house or apartment)
-what about the medical situation? are there good doctors and hospitals?
This are my main concerns.
