Hi to all the members of the newly formed Reading Between the Wines Bookclub! This forum is to allow all of us (and others if interested) to post book recommendations in addition to our set book each month.
A personal favourite of mine is a recent book Protected content "The Hare with Amber Eyes" by Edmund De Waal. It won the Costa Biography Award in Protected content is the story of a collection of netsuke Edmund inherited from great uncle. It tells the story of this collection and at the same time, the history of the Ephrussi family. Set in Paris, Vienna and Tokyo, it is a great book written with remarkable detail, and a good one if you want a fascinating family history but not too heavy.
