International move / moving a collection / customs (Tokyo)

Hello everyone,
I'll be moving from Bangkok to Tokyo in a few weeks. I have a collection of about 25 electric guitars and I've been worrying about that getting past customs as "household goods". With my previous international move I shipped 8 to Thailand without having to pay taxes, with a few more disassembled in boxes, but that depends on the country of course and also random luck who is inspecting it.

Anyway, yesterday Nippon Express told me they wouldn't ship more than 3. That seems very few, and I wonder if they're being too rigid, applying a general rule, e.g., for appliances, etc. very strictly. Surely many people own more than three of a kind without having commercial intent? (Handbags, shoes, watches, golf sticks,....)

Anyone has shipped more guitars than that, or another large collection that you can't just hide? What moving company did you use? I was hoping to be able to ship at least Protected content . It may sound crazy, but I know many guitar players who own that many.

Thanks and see you soon.
