My husband and two kids still live in Atlanta, Ga. We are getting passports and seriously looking at Canada to enjoy a culture shift (one that hopefully is more global minded and not in love with guns.)
Each of us have jobs that can be performed remotely. Of course we are looking into the details of taxes, laws, etc. We would consider citizenship after living in Canada for three years.
We have a pretty good life here in Georgia -nice house, good friends etc. Picking up and moving is not a decision we are taking lightly. We are doing as much research as possible and making some short visits to Canada soon.
I was just curious if there are US expats who have made the decision to live in Canada simply as a preference in lifestyle or culture (as opposed to jobs or marriage.)
