DSCs provide vital services to ensure that the transition for the relocating employee and their family is successful. DSCs deliver a consultative approach when addressing concerns.
They are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area, aligned with the program guidelines and requirements, and empathetic to employee and family needs.
Utilize your local knowledge while easing the transition for newcomers inyour community as a Destination Services Consultant (DSC). DSCs provide½ Protected content of accompanied assistance, delivering a wide variety of services including:
* Area Orientation
Customized local guidance and area information packet on topics including neighborhoods
and schools, points of interest, religious centers, shopping, leisure activities (sports, cultural
events, parks, theatres, etc.) and community referrals
* Settling-in Services
Includes school visits and explanation of enrollment requirements, assistance with utility connections, support during the local registration process, obtaining a driver’s license andopening a bank account
* Rental Assistance
Consultation and search assistance which includes pricing and availability of rental listings for homes and apartments based on budget, desired commute and amenities, and lifestyle; accompanied viewings of viable rental housing options, and finalization of lease details and accompanied walk through of new home at move-in.
* Departure Services
Assistance with move-out related tasks including forwarding of mail, cancellation of utilities and memberships, guidance with banking arrangements and property condition assessment
*** Skills and Qualifications
This is a part-time, independent contractor opportunity, and requires ability to be available for assignments on a very flexible basis. Projects are sporadic and presented as needed.
This opportunity is contingent upon verification of favorable criminal background and driving records.
Expert knowledge of the city and surrounding areas, including rental market and local schools; clean and reliable vehicle (preferably 4-door, late model with functional heat and air conditioning); cellular phone; valid driver’s license; excellent verbal and written communication skills; research ability; customer service experience; and proficiency in basic computer applications; strong written/verbal English/French/German language skills.
Minimum 2-year community residency, personal or professional relocation experience, relationships with property managers/landlords and international schools, comfort with diverse cultures, college degree, German and Luxembourgish language skills.
