Student Exchange (Vienna)

Hi! I am looking at moving to Vienna for a year on a study exchange, my other option would be Amsterdam. I was wondering if I could get any opinions on which preference I should put first taking into consideration that my main priorities are friendliness of the city (I am a solo traveler), things to see and do in and around the city (day and weekend trips), affordability and access to the rest of Europe (I hope to do as much travel as possible while I am on exchange). I plan to move to Europe permanently once I have finished my degree :) Thankyou!
