Weekends away from Vienna

Dear all,

I've been here 9 years now, and have been to a lot of fantastic places away from Vienna for the weekend. Does anyone have some special "off the beaten track" suggestions for weekends away... I'll share some of mine for starters:

- Steirische Weinstrasse - you can have a very pleasant trip through the wine growing region in Styria Protected content from Vienna)
- Salzkammergut - enjoy the lakes and mountains (2 hours from Vienna)
- Murtal - the Mur Valley in Western Styria (is great for walking and getting away from it all (3 hours from Vienna)
