Senator Barack Obama, the current presidential candidate for the U.S. Democratic party, has announced that he intends to give a speech in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin during his visit to Germany.
However, this suggestion has now caused quite a heated debate among leading German politicians, who aren’t sure whether they should allow him to use this location as part of his presidential campaign -- cf.
