Working for yourself in Italy

Ae there any accountants out there? Anyone know the laws surrounding living and working in Italy for yourself?

What I'd like to know is if we register our business to the UK - pay tax there, have the fees sent directly to our UK account and so on - BUT we want to live here in Italy. We would technically be working for someone in the UK, but we'd be here doing the work, not in the UK.

Is there anyone out here that is up on the tourism laws in Umbria? We are wondering if we register the business as a UK one, what other hoops and such we would have to deal with on the Italian side of things.

We have a great little tour business, but what is as easy as falling off a log in the UK is a million times more difficult to do in Italy.

Any advice would be gratefully received!
