Advice on visas (Yangon)

Mingalabar, fellow travelers. I am planning to move to Myanmar to reunite with my partner, a Burmese national, in the next couple of years. I am looking for information on the types of visas I would be eligible for. I am thinking of retiring there and would not be working, at least at the onset, but plan to do market entry consulting or short term projects every once in a while.

What long term visas would I be eligible for? I have had two business visas in the past, and a tourist visa would require my leaving the country every 90 days I'm told. I need something more long term.

Also, what is the process for applying for these visas?
