Croatian citizenship (Zagreb)

Hi all I have a question! Does anyone know if I'm a foreigner applying for Croatian citizenship because I marry a Croatian, and I am at the moment on a 5 year temporary residence permit, what would happen if say in a year, I spend more than 6 months abroad? Would they just not count me on that year for being in the country and delay my citizenship - or might they deny my citizenship altogether forever??! I am planing to deliver my baby in my home country and planing to stay home for sometime before and after birth which may be over 6 months altogether. If anyone has information on this I would greatly appreciate it - thanks so much in advance!
