I'm a British citizen living in Accra seeking a job. It's turning out to be a more difficult task than expected, so any advice or leads you might be able to give me would be gratefully appreciated.
My background is is sustainability and financial services. I have a Masters degree in Leadership for Sustainable Development from the London think-tank Forum for the Future, and have spent the past 4 years working in ethical investment, specialising in "socially responsible investments". Since moving to Ghana I have been working as a freelance filmmaker (as Hidden Picture Productions) making promotional and educational films for NGOS, helping to raise international awareness of their causes and introducing them to new sources of funding. I have experience in project management, research & analysis, team co-ordination, etc etc and have a wealth of international voluntary and internship experience.
I would be happy working for any organisation that is making a positive impact on the world, whether it be an NGO, governmental body, volunteer organisation or sustainability-related company.
If anyone knows of any suitable positions that are open to non-ghanaians, or has any advice on how I can go about job hunting please get in touch.
All the best,
