The Paris Wine Tasting of Protected content known as the Judgment of Paris — was a wine competition organized in Paris on 24 May Protected content Steven Spurrier, a British wine merchant, in which French judges carried out two blind tasting comparisons: one of top-quality Chardonnays and another of red wines (Bordeaux wines from France and Cabernet Sauvignon wines from California). A Californian wine rated best in each category, which caused surprise as France was generally regarded as being the foremost producer of the world's best wines. Spurrier sold only French wine and believed that the California wines would not win!
Let us enjoy a Californian Wine Tasting Event, with lots of stories around ( in English) in the stylish restaurant "The Mash" in Hamburg.
A seperate & beautiful room for 20 is reserved specially for us.
You will be offered a tasting with 6 wines from California (different grape varieties, different styles or regions, (including water) . Foodwise, the restuarnt will hand out a smaller menu specially designed for internations members with 5 starters and 5 main courses. It means you can choose your meal a la carte and you will have free choice of the food .
At the end we will make a tour in the cave of Mash.
Please notice it is a "must to be present" event if you sign for it. In case there are less than 10 attendees the event will be cancelled.
The total payment Protected content final no. of attendees) must be done by September 08th directly to the restaurant as well as the re-confirmation of your presence . (The A/C will be annonced later). In case your payment is not done till 08th of September you will be erased from the list of attendees.
Working as a journalist with focus on science topics for the German public radio Alexandra Wrann decided 3 years ago to transform her passion for wine and food into a profession. She started her wine education with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET, based in London) in New York City. Back in Hamburg, Alexandra soon became a Sommelière in MASH Hamburg in Protected content she still loves to work with a great wine list with around Protected content . Since she always has been highly interested in the details behind the things, also from a more academic point of view, She decided to complete her education with the Diploma in Wine and Spirits that she started last year. Also, she used to work as an educator for several organisations so teaching people about wine in an informative and entertaining way is what she loves to do.
