St. Martins geese are a traditional dish, originally served on St. Martin's Day on 11.11. However, as we are in Düsseldorf, this day is also celebrated as the beginning of the "Fifth Season", I.e. Carnival which starts on 11.11 at 11:11h.
The St. Martin's Procession takes place in each and every district, organized by the communities, supported by the schools and kindergartens of the district.
Some companies organize their Christmas dinner around this period, because many people are too busy right before Christmas.
Some companies even book their Martinsgansessen 1 year in advance to make sure their favorite date is not already booked out.
We have the great opportunity to be offered 30 seats available for us in one of the great locations on the Rhine, which will be ours if we book before Friday 10.11.2017
