Japanese art, although based on a thousand-year-old tradition, is also the cradle of animated culture and video games. These are the different facets that you are invited to discover. A selection of works by Murakami and his artistic collective Kaikai Kiki alongside original manga boards like those of Astro the little robot, this little Pinocchio of the future that everyone knows and objects from pop culture. Ghosts, robots, nature and fantastic animals: all the themes of this universe will be addressed. The youngest will be able to have fun thanks to the games of tracks and the older ones will learn more about the characters coming from the Japanese folklore and will know the secret to make monsters run away ...
👉 Did you know ? Murakami is strongly influenced by the art of Andy Warhol. He pays tribute to his Flower series in Warhol / Silver and Warhol / Gold. He is even jealous of him, lamenting that his Asian origins do not allow him to paint as easily as Warhol ...
