His fairytale paintings address a deeply human need in us. The need to see, to marvel and to discover. With his magical harmonies and the play of his colors, the small surreal bubbles, like a red moon in the blue sky, he expresses his childlike joy, which considers life as a wealth of possibilities. Whether paper boats or steam ships, dragons or stars - its formal language is universally and intuitively comprehensible.
For many years, Zhelev has been extremely popular in Germany. This is also due to the fact that Zhelev's paintings, besides the beauty of the color, also have an effect on their content. The content is puzzling and full of undecipherable secrets and invites the viewer with a friendly hint to enter this fairytale world.

Tom Hartwig was born in Protected content Eggenberg in Austria. After his Abitur in Protected content did a commercial training and lived in Salzburg. There he also trained himself as a restorer and came into contact with the artists who lived and taught in Salzburg, such as Oskar Kokoschka, Alfred Hrdlicka, Rudolf Hradil and others.
Tom Hartwig's world is colorful and strange. His powerful works, which he also likes to design as a diptych or triptych, occupy space. A volcanic eruption that creates the earth for new life, a planet explosion from the thousands of stars that form the basic subjects of the Austrian artist.
His techniques are diverse and subordinate. He works with structure and form, which gives his paintings a high presence. An expression of the power of color and form.
