Last Winter Excursion - Lucca hills

Dear group,
we'll close winter season by discovering some of Lucca hills treasures. We will start from the small village of Vetriano, famous for the small theater called "La bomboniera", which is the smallest public historical theater in the world still in activity.
Along the beautiful Colline Lucchesi path we'll climb towards the ridge and reach the splendid Torre del Bargiglio, known as "Occhio di Lucca".
The view from the tower is truly extraordinary: from the Apuan Alps to the castles of the Garfagnana, to the Serchio Valley below the plain of Lucca.
Back in Vetriano we will reach with a short transfer by car the small but delightful village of Colognora di Pescaglia, an ancient village beautifully preserved, well-known film set (Miracle in Sant'Anna - Spike Lee).
Here some characteristics of the excursion:
Total length: about 12 km
Total climb altitude: about Protected content
Actual travel time without stops: 4.5 hrs
Difficulty level: Medium
Duration: day trip (packed lunch by the participants)
Required equipment:
suitable dressing for the season, trekking shoes, water - 1.5L min.
As usual, carpooling will be attempted to reach the starting point of the hike but seats for everybody cannot be guaranteed.
Therefore, please consider using your own mean of transportation to reach the starting point; I'd be really grateful if you can offer seats to other participants!
Pls sent me a private message to let me know if you need a lift and to provide your Whatsapp contact.
Cheers,
