Dear group,

let's close this Protected content an easy ring route that will allow us to discover some little know places by a short train trip.

Our walk will start from San Romano; the town is famous for a battle between Florentine and Sienese and for the sanctuary with the miracolous icon of the Virgin and Child.

Afterwards, we will walk through the wood of Germagnana and discover the ruins of Montalto Castle, from where we will reach Montopoli Val d'Arno.

There, we will be visiting some highly evocative medieval elements, like St Mathew tower, from where we will enjoy a wonderful view.

Back to San Romano we will be visiting pasta museum with optional visit to the pasta factory!
