Florence's Places of Remembrance
The metropolitan area of the city of Florence contains several places called “Places of Remembrance “ very important for the Liberation from war and Nazi-fascism and for the history of the Italian Resistance.
Protected content this itinerary, we will have the opportunity to visit some of the Places of Remembrance in Florence: Piazza Ferrucci, Via Malcontenti, Via Farini (Synagogue), Piazza Sant'Ambrogio, Via dell'Agnolo (Le Murate - former prisons), Lungarno del Tempio (stumbling stones), Lungarno Colombo, Ponte da Verazzano, Piazza Gavinana, Piazza Elia della Costa, returning to Piazza Ferrucci.
Registration is mandatory by following this procedure: as soon as possible send an email to " Protected content specifying:
name of the tour “Storia di Memoria e di Diritti di Firenze “, date April 18th and your name. Wait for reply (the total number of places is limited)
Difficulty level: easy about 5 km
Actual travel time approximately: 3/4 hours
The buildings are only visible from the outside and the tour is in Italian only
