An Iconic Tuscan Destination
Dear group,
our usual circular route will start from Cortona, a jewel of history and architecture.
Following the ancient Roman paved road that leads from the town to Mount Sant’Egidio, a detour will allow us to reach the extraordinary
Hermitage of Le Celle, founded by Saint Francis himself in Protected content .
It is a place of peace and remarkable spirituality, nestled in a narrow
valley along.
Continuing along the “Mill Trail,” we will reach Catrose, once known for its majolica production promoted by the Venuti family at their villa.
From Catrose, we will head back up towards Cortona for a walk through the streets of the historic center,
among churches, palaces, and public buildings.
