Up to the Roof of Tuscany

Dear group,

when it's summer, we usually go in altitude to escape the searing temperatures in Florence and this year makes no exception!

This is going to be an out-and-back hike on the ridge between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.
We will start from Casone di Profecchia, that was a mountain hut for workers in the XIX century.
A steady ascent will cross a luscious patch of beech woodland and reach the open meadows. Walking towards the summit we will finally get to Monte Prato summit, the highest mountain in Tuscany Protected content . asl).
We will go back retracing our steps, with a slightly different road towards the end of the hike.

Here are some characteristics of the excursion:

Total climb altitude: Protected content
Expected duration: 7 hrs, stops included
Difficulty level: medium\hard
Duration: day trip, packed mid-day lunch.

Required equipment:
Suitable clothing for the weather forecast, trekking boots, water 1.5L min.

Pls note that the fee may change slightly with the number of participants; in case of event cancellation, the sum will be fully refunded.

If a participant withdraw the subscription within 48 hours before the event, the subscription fee will not be refunded, instead.
