The Wanders of Vaglia

Vaglia remains a picturesque hamlet on the outskirts of Florence and at the gates of Mugello. It became part of Florence with ties to the Medici family and then the Corsini family, who maintained their vast rural agricultural estate here for tobacco and grain cultivation. During this trekking we have the opportunity to see the hills around Vaglia, with a visit to the "Pieve di San Pietro" and the discovery of the old manor houses that were acquired by the Corsini estate and converted into farmhouses.
