Walking Among the Florentine Municipal Libraries
Dear attendee,
this is a ring route in which we have the opportunity to visit Protected content the municipal libraries in Florence open to the public, to learn about their history and activities: 1) Oblate (via dell’Oriuolo) inaugurated in Protected content , it is housed in a building constructed between Protected content Protected content part of the ancient Hospital of Santa Maria Nuova ; 2) Palagio di Parte Guelfa (Piazza Parte Guelfa) founded in Protected content in the medieval Church of “Santa Maria sopra Porta”; Protected content Thouar (Piazza Torquato Tasso) founded in Protected content is housed in the Ex Leopoldine ancient monastic complex .
Protected content places promote reading, books and learning as fundamental tools for personal, social and economic growth, entering the daily lives of citizens as points of meeting, knowledge and participation. Protected content tour is only in Italian language .
